What kind of wood do we work with?

Our master artisans are experienced with many types of hard and soft woods. In order to be able to choose the best timber for a project comes down to a few major decisions. Those include:

• Budget – how much do you want to invest in the piece
• Purpose – how will it be used.
• Durability - Does it need to be uber durable or soft and warm to the touch are just a couple of the considerations here.
• Design – this could include introducing the new piece into an existing grouping. Some woods stand out against others.

We only use wood that is seasoned and then expertly kiln-dried for optimal results. These are:

• Mahogany
• Maple

• Pine

Our woodworkers use age-old techniques that, time and time again, are proven to build the best quality furniture. Should your design require a wood that we don’t have in stock, we will source it out. Our goal is to create a beautiful heirloom that you will love and will last forever.

Can you provide furniture repair near me?

If you live in the Greater Victoria area, then yes, we can. We take on a lot of projects because a piece of wooden furniture was damaged in a move.  We'd be happy provide furniture repair if you require it. We will pick it up, and do our best work on time and budget. Once complete, we’ll bring it back.

Is there someone that does Upholstery near me?

That would also be a yes. If you need new upholstery or something that you want to reupholster, we have the skilled craftsmen ready to produce the quality of work we'd expect to see in our own homes.

How much does it cost to repair furniture?

Each job is different so we’d need to see pictures, at least, of the item that requires repair. In some cases, a member of our team may need to come out and inspect it. We take pride in providing accurate quotes and never charge more if we’ve misjudged the job.

If your object is so severely damaged that we don’t feel we can properly repair it, we’ll tell you right away.
